We Visualized Our Bodies

Donald White
Imagine there was a pre-earth prep school called Spirit World.
It isn’t hard to believe SW 101 was all about visualizing and understanding the body. No one in our class had a physical body, but many of us greatly anticipated wearing one of those strange shrouds on earth.

What kind of ethereal experience would life be like without a body?
That was the whole point, wasn’t it? In the spirit world we went to class on bodies, scriptures, Gods, and eternal life.It was so theoretical, how do you remember any of it?

It was hard to relate to study about this palpable, flexible protoplasm stuff.
It excited us while boring us because we were diaphanous. No pardons needed—we were spirits who could walk right through each other.
From that orientation nothing they said about earth life made sense.
That was because we were children, wide-eyed kids two days before Christmas or on the family’s first Disney trip.

I compare trying to imagine sex. To us it was not erotic or exciting, but a
technical process like when the teacher taught us how we would walk or eat.
They offered flash images of how we’d use our bodies. One use was to procreate, to have sex with another body and have kids. That’s when they completely lost me. We had only a vague notion of what it would be like but were told it would be at once threatening and attractive.

All of this was dry and confusing—how could anyone relate? Too many expectations were bad; weren’t we were antsy enough already?
“Tell them little—avoid setting them afire into spiritual convulsion.”
Excessive candy and rum sour the tum-tum.

Then we came to earth and waited, and suddenly the pearl burst upon us—
sexual urge and paroxysm so impelling—not at all like what our spirits were taught. A moment before we had only a vague notion of what it would be like.

Just like now—there are worlds beyond and eternal joy, but we have no idea…

Is Illinois Safe?

In the NY Times today thee were two top sidebar stories. The first talked about the mess in Illinois--with a succession of corrupt governors. With corruption on top, there has to be corruption on lower levels which perhaps even affects safety on the streets. I don't know anyone who is planning a vacation or honeymoon to downtown Chicago, do you?

Beneath this story was a warning from the government to be very careful traveling to India--or anywhere abroad. I don't know about you, but I'm expanding my "abroad" to the "near abroad" when it comes to safety. And that includes the entire state of Illinois. It's too corrupt, and what's in the water to make so many governors go bad?

I think we should have a special prosecutor in Congress. Not to take the place of the FBI here, but find out how we can make it safe to travel to Chicago.

Natural Cold Remedies -- Feel Better this Winter

More Details about natural cold remedies here.

Expert Tip:
Happiness is a state of mind Current research shows that a happy person is optimistic, does not dwell on negative events, has a social network and enough resources to pursue a life purpose. Freud wrote that in order to be happy we need to know how to love, to work and to play. Research has shown this to be true. We all need something meaningful to do,something to love and something to hope for. Happy people are hopeful people. When they arrive at a door of possibility, they open it. Unhappy people see the door as a barrier. They may sit by the door for years without opening to a possible future. Happy people see challenges. Unhappy people see problems. Happy people make things happen. Unhappy people hesitate and perseverate.Happy people count what they are given. Unhappy people count what is withheld from them. We all develop a sense of well-being that tends to remain steady throughout life unless we practice different thought habits. Research by the Center for Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania has shown that you can learn to be happier by thinking more positively, re-focusing your thoughts when you are in the dumps, and learning to live with purpose. Happiness is internal. Silver(1980) found that quadriplegics and paraplegics with an internal sense of well-being adapted to their spinal chord injury in a short time. On the other hand it has been shown that those who win the lottery return to their former level of happiness within two years. I have worked with countless clients who have trained themselves to be happier by: Heroic moments of risk to face their fears Choosing love instead of fear as motivation Choosing peace of mind instead of attack thoughts Living in the present moment Love and wisdom illuminate a well lived life. Happy people live their way to answers and learn to make wise choices. Thornton Wilder wrote, "There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love..." Get More Info Here.

Find out how natural cold remedies could be your best health defence this year, against the dastardly attack of the winter cold . . . !
So, it's getting round to that time of year again . . . . The weather is turning autumnal, leaves falling and the start of the cold season!
Colds just seem to be a part of every day winter life. Every year you seem to get at least one, and often it lingers for far longer than it should . . .
Did you know that conventional medicines might not be helping you out at all when you have a cold? (That's in spite of the promises to have you up and about in no time at all)!
We are constantly being told that antibiotics don't work on colds and flu -- but antibiotics could actually make you worse, as they kill off all bacteria in your body -- and we need some of it (the ‘good bacteria') to help our bodies work properly!
Even if you heed the warnings, and don't take antibiotics unnecessarily, over-the-counter cold and flu remedies may still be doing you more harm than good. Recent studies have found that products containing aspirin and paracetamol can actually inhibit the body's own healing processes. They can make your cold last longer, and can actually make symptoms, such as a stuffy, blocked nose, worse!
If all this can't convince you, then perhaps reading the side effects from conventional cold relief treatments will. Unpleasant side effects include drowsiness and faintness, congestion and headaches and insomnia.
Natural cold remedies are definitely the way to go, and can make your symptoms less troubling, while the length of your illness will be likely to be much shorter.
Top of the list is to allow your body to rest and recuperate a little while, and keep well hydrated, by drinking plenty of fluids.
Echinacea has had a lot of publicity in recent years, as a wonder-herb for colds, and rightly so -- it is very effective at cutting short your illness.
You get the best results by taking a high dose of Echinacea, as soon as you feel symptoms coming on, and while they continue. (Don't take it as a preventative measure every day, or for longer than 8 weeks at a time.)
You should be aware that Echinacea works by flushing the toxins out of your system -- so you may feel a little worse for a short while, while this is happening. But the results will be worth it, and your illness will be of much shorter duration.
Other really good supplements to take are Zinc and Vitamin C. Again, taking a high dose as you feel symptoms coming on, works really well.
You might like to take some soothing herbal teas and drinks -- these will definitely ease your symptoms and make you feel a lot better. Try Ginger, Lemon and Honey, Nettle or Blackcurrant Teas.
Other natural cold remedies you may like to try are herbal steam inhalations, a ginger root foot bath, natural salt water nasal sprays, and herbal chest and gland rubs.
There are plenty of options to try, that will make you feel better. Soon your cold will be gone, and without any lingering after effects this time..!
